D.P. Tool & Machine, Inc. is experienced in close tolerance, precision turning, machining and fabrication servicing industries for both specialized prototype and production applications.
In 1972 David A. Phillips founded D.P. Tool & Machine, Inc. in the Rochester, NY area in a small shop in Livonia where the owner was the only employee. Since then, D.P. Tool has moved several times and expanded. In 1999 D.P. Tool relocated to Avon, New York, into a newly built 43,000 square foot facility in Crossroads Commerce Park on Tec Drive, approximately 20 minutes south of Rochester. We have since added 15,000 square feet. Currently, D.P. Tool employs nearly 70 people, with employment levels increasing.
D.P. Tool is a family owned and run business in western New York. David A. Phillips is the current owner of the company, and his sons-David C. Phillips and Peter E. Phillips are both acting vice-presidents. Utilizing family and employee talents, the unique nature of the business has been developed through years of close work with such industries as material handling, power transmission, racing, aerospace, food processing, agriculture, plastic molding, textile and many others. Our customers are located throughout upstate NY, the United States and into parts of Canada, many of which require JIT delivery.
State of the art multitasking machines, CNC Machining Centers, turning and mill/turn machines, and a manual tool room produce quality work at a competitive price necessary in today's manufacturing environment. D.P. Tool has specialized in CNC turning, machining, welding, and the design, building, and repair of special machines, prototype work, and piece parts. The ability to provide quick, custom parts for machine and tool repair/maintenance as well as machine redesign for improved productivity and reliability helps keep our customer's downtime to a minimum. We keep quality, cost, delivery, and service utmost in mind for our customers. A modern Quality Control System monitors measurement, processes and performance.
