Job Summary:
This position is accountable for the set-up and operation of Vertical Turning Lathes for large parts to produce parts in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
Reports To: Manufacturing Supervisor
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- GD&T knowledge and blueprint reading
- Versed in Mazatrol language
- Experience with set-up and operation of VTL’s or large turning equipment
- Ability to sit, stand, twist, bend and walk for long periods and lifting up to 35 lbs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate large Vertical Turning Lathes for high precision components
- Create work holding and select cutting tools
- Load, unload, and secure large parts using cranes and fixtures
- Perform first article inspections and follow QA plans
- Inspect finished parts and compare them with the requirements of the blueprint
- Develop robust manufacturing processes
- Meet production goals in terms of quality, quantity and cycle time
- Train Co-workers
- Follow ISO standards and practice Lean 6S manufacturing principles
- Use of proper PPE at all times
Preferred Skills:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic math skills
- Blueprint reading
- Experience with CAD software and tooling processes.
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes and GD T standards.
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts and materials.
- Experience with press and other manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Fridays 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour
