Job Title: Process Engineer
Company Description: D.P. Tool & Machine, Inc. is a technologically advanced family owned manufacturing company experienced with producing close tolerance CNC precision turned, machined, fabricated/welded components, electro-mechanical assemblies and fixtures servicing major corporations.
Job Summary: This position is accountable for creating programs to machine cnc parts.
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of five years’ experience in Manufacturing
Familiarity with high precision machining and manufacturing processes such as turning, milling, vertical, horizontal, 5-axis, Integrex, robot, wire edm and precision grinding. Mazak and Studer experience a plus.
Understanding of CNC programming.
Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods and lifting up to 35lbs
Job Responsibilities:
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
Participates in the review of incoming orders for applicability to existing capabilities and determine any potentially necessary alternatives.
Develop or assist in design, costing, training and continuous improvement activities.
Provide technical assistance to shop floor personnel through all phases in manufacturing.
Assist in developing time studies to ensure time standards are correct.
Follow ISO standards and practice Lean 6S manufacturing principles

Experience with Epicor software a plus.
Experience with Siemens NX a plus.
